Carrie Young
Carrie Young is a dedicated nursing professional with over 17 years of experience in a variety of healthcare settings. She began her career with the NHS as an Adult nurse, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care and clinical practice.
Thirteen years ago, Carrie qualified as a specialist public health nurse, focusing on childhood development in her role as a health visitor. This experience ignited her passion for supporting children and families in achieving optimal health and well-being.
Subsequently, Carrie transitioned back into Adult nursing, specializing in the care of individuals with substance misuse issues. During this time, she developed a keen interest in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and its impact on both children and adults.
To further expand her expertise, Carrie pursued advanced training to become a specialist clinician in ADHD. She is now the governance lead at the Ark clinic, where she conducts thorough assessments for both children and adults with ADHD. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Carrie is also a qualified nurse prescriber, enabling her to provide comprehensive care that addresses both the medical and psychological aspects of ADHD.
Carrie's multifaceted experience and commitment to continuous learning make her a valuable asset in the field of mental health, particularly in the management of ADHD. She is dedicated to improving the lives of her patients and their families through effective assessment, intervention, and support.
